The
various tongues spoken on the continent of Xanele have different
names for the days of the week and the months of the year.
This document will provide a short introduction to the names
of the days of the week and the months of the year, as well
as a brief list of the holidays that are celebrated by the
people of Xanele.

Week
The days
of the week are kept a little different in Xanele. Each
week has ten days and each month
has 3 of such weeks. To differentiate one week from the
other Xanelites write their dates,

The
Creator, Gaea and the Destroyer, Canelor came from the beyond
and looked upon the nothing. "I will make a world for
our children." said Gaea, and thus the world was created.
Then the children came, and with them the elements. The
first was Aquamarine, who brought the seas and rivers with
her. Then came the twins, Onyx and Jade. Onyx brought the
sturdy stone and gems and Jade the dry earth. And thus the
world had water and land and the three children that played
together.
"We need more brothers and sisters." Said Aquamarine.
"We tire of games of three." for she was the most
playful of them all. Gaea and Canelor thus consented their
eldest. Diamond was the fourth, and she brought with her
the wind. Spinel was the fifth, and the heat of fire was
within him. Aquamarine did not like her youngest brother,
and was sad that she had asked for him in the first place.
"What is wrong?" asked Jade, the most caring of
the children.
"My brother Spinel, he is hot in temper. He does not
like games." replied Aquamarine. "He does not
love me."
"Do not be saddened." said Diamond in her gentle
voice. She was known to have two voices as her mood varied
day by day. "He loves all of us, but not all of us
like to play games. We have other ways to live in the beautiful
world mother created for us." she and Onyx, the quietest
of the lot, had found new games for just the two of them.
They kept them secret from their brothers and sisters, afraid
of what they might say.
Aquamarine thought on her sister words. One night she went
to her father.
"What do you do with the things you love?"
"I destroy them." He said. The response confused
her more than helped her.
"Will you destroy us?"
"Eventually." was his response.
"Will you destroy my brother Spinel before the rest
of us?" she insisted.
"Yes, now go and play." and she did.
Amber arrived in a quiet day. He rustled in greeting to
Diamond, hugged Jade close and tickled Aquamarine until
she cried. He was a trickster by nature, and brought with
him wood. All the children marveled. The trees and plants
that grew would talk to them. Aquamarine was the most pleased
with her new brother and they were inseparable. Soon she
forgot about Spinel's fiery ways and her father's promise.
Last came Steel, and he brought metal with him. He was the
youngest and strongest of them all. Inmediatly he became
their protector. And thus the world had the seven children
who played, loved, cried, fought and raged. Gaea saw that
everything was good, and she loved her creation.

Age
of Gods
One day Diamond and Onyx came to their brothers and sisters.
"We have a secret." they said. "The Kouatls
are born, they are the children of wind and stone. They
have beautiful dark eyes and fly with wings of many colors.
We had hid them under stone caves but they long for the
air, and the warmth of the sun."
"Do not be shamed." said Jade. "The Nikals
are born from the earth and metal. They have strong bodies
and metalic tails and nails. They enjoy the burrows but
long to walk above the earth instead of below it."
and so it turned out that the children had hid their progeny
for fear of what the rest would say. The sons and daughters
of Gaea did not understand until they saw the Kouatls and
the Nikals. Then they accepted them, and marveled at their
fragility. The doings of their siblings were not talked
of to Gaea or Canelor. The children stood by each other
and the new playthings they had. Both races were happy to
be out of their hiding and proliferated on the outside.
They each built a city and adored their parents, creation
and the other elements. With no guidance other than chaos.
Chaos attracted Vice. Life attracted Spirits. Spirits attracted
Divinity.
The Kouatls and Nikals had many strugless too many to mention
all, but here are the main three. The first came with the
Vices. Seven Demons that came from the beyond to lure the
unguided. The Queen of Many Colors revered leader of the
Kouatls sealed the seven demons of vice. The second came
from the Spirits. The Spirits formed from life, and began
to manifest in the form of nature. The King of Iron, leader
of the Nikals tamed the spirits and forged with nature and
metal. He constructed the great tower of Iklesest, destined
to reach Gaea.
The third came from the elements themselves. Not all of
the children liked the tower, they did not want Gaea to
know of the things they have done in the world. They fought
among themselves like siblings do, trying to reach a solution.
Their battles brought floods, earthquakes, fires and tempest.
The Nikals and Kouatls thus could not survive the battles
and only the ruins of their cities remained.
When the children realized what they had done, they wept.
Gaea heard the cries of her children and looked down at
the world she had created. She saw that misery and sadness
had taken over the world. "What happened?" she
asked of the children.
"Everything is gone!" cried Aquamarine.
"Not everything, the spirits, energy and nature remains."
said Jade, trying to present her mother with something.
The gods from the beyond, attracted by the spirits made
their presence known then.
"We can mantain the balance in between the spirits,
nature and energy by binding them with faith." they
said. The distraught children agreed and went to sleep with
dreams of a new world. Thus the Age of the Gods began.
Tholl, god of Life saw Gaea and at once he knew of love.
His brothers and sisters advised against it but Tholl couldn’t
help himself. He tried his best to woo her while the gods
worked in making the way for the new spirits to come. In
the end he won her over. Gaea and Tholl bore a son in secret
and were happy for a time. Their child was Solstice. Time
passed and Solstice stayed by his father’s side. Tholl
knew Canelor would kill Solstice if he knew of his existence.
Sorisis jealous of the young godling sent a message to Canelor
of Gaea’s infidelity. Canelor descended on the young
god with great wrath but Tholl stood in the way and it was
his life that was taken instead of Solstice. By Gaea's decree
Solstice became the God of Longetivity and his father's
sucessor.
"I will fulfill my father’s duty and I will bring
life to this world. I will call my father’s servants.
They will aid me." And winged beings of great power
descended to the world. They had spiritual forms for they
belonged to the spirit. They worked and were happy. Uriel
in his wisdom saw the world being paved in goodness, it
was an incomplete faith. There would be no balance and their
contract with Gaea would not work. He opened the way for
darkened creatures like the winged ones to help forge the
world. The Winged ones fought them and when the fight was
over both sides lay on the ground shattered and broken.
The battle was known as the Battle of Tears because the
skies wept blood and feathers from the strife. From the
blood the River of Souls began. Now the spirits had a world
and a way to perpetuate their cycle.
Gaea gave each god a spirit, and formed it to reflect one
aspect of the contract. The gods from the beyond were 21
in total. Seven for the light, seven for the darkness and
seven for the line that divided light and darkness. Thus
the Pantheon declared that the balance was to be mantained
and each would give gifts to the world through their chosen
Spirit. What manner of order was chosen to bring the spirits
to the world belong to the gods. But it is mortal knowledge
that Gaea blessed the new balance, and permited the world
to continue.
Solstice asked for his spirits to be formed from the remnants
of the Battle of Tears. “Please! Make them whole again!
You are to give each god a gift? Then give me this! To save
my servants make my gift from them. Save the Darkened ones
also. I sense loyalty and strength in them. Make my gift
from them both mother.” And Gaea gave them bodies
so they may walk the world of mortals yet something of the
divine and infernal still lay in them. They did not die
of old age and were unnaturally hard to kill. Thus the Immortals
and first race was born.

for the dwarfs, halfling Moneste Skipalot announces the
dwarfs are missing. A year of mourning is declared. The
halflings wear no smile on their faces and carry burnt,
black shawls over their heads to hide their vibrant hair
and eyes.
8100. Black Eye of the Deep forms: the centaur island of
Zemarain dissapears in it's stead a black whirlind appears
in the Criben Ocean. The whirlind consumes all that nears
it.

9500. Red Waters: Island of Sabituria is surrounded by red
waters that kill anyone that come into contact with them.
9500. Heaven's Divide: it would seem the gods have left
Xanele. The priests have no answered prayers. In reality
the war of the Heaven's began.
10000. Cosmic Belt of Isolation formed: Xanele's third moon
explodes in one of the heavenly battles. The remains form
a belt of dust that desintegrates anything approaching or
leaving the planet.

Ancient
Awakening
The
ancients are awakened by Starla Everclear, greatest paladin
to ever live. The ancients are two, one represents the Pact
and takes the form of a gargantuan Krell. The second represents
the Seal and takes the form of a gargantuan Molleh. The
two ancients finished the war of the gods before Xanele
made assunder in the strife. To end the war they killed
Sparanza and Seismos, thus returning the balance to the
Pantheon. They also descended Brum Connors and binded him
to the Thordim and eternal servitude to Xanele from Sabaria.
Then, they went to sleep again.
